Northstar has no frame for the rowunits. Explain how that works please. Where is the strength for 30' or bigger head?
Also there is alot of talk on stripper plates.  Yours have a rod on a flat plate, others are beveled and some bent up.
Do they work? smile
One last question. If the combine tires do not fit the row as on 20" rows (outside duals set on 30" rows will run down 20" row) will we need stalk stompers or something like them  with the Northstar knives rolls?
thanks

Sorry for the delay. The N.S. has frames to support the rollers on the head. They are some companies that have those frames welded to the main frames. We do not, the industry calls this component manufacturing, this means you strip the head down to just the sheet metal.
Yes we do have a hard rod running along the hydraulic adjustable deck plates, we feel that works in all conditions.
There are stalk stommpers available for Geringhoff corn heads.
