I have a new 2008 northstar and have been running the stripper plates in and out 6-7 times a day . today i can't get the deck plates to open more than 4 lights. What to do?

Make sure you do not have any mechanicaly wrong, a bolt hanging up or a plate over the adjutment bar holding it up, if not it is the trash underneath the deck plates and the frame which comes of the gear box. You con try blowing under the deck plate or if you have time, it is not hard, remove your gathering chain with your gathering chain tool, take the nuts of holding the chain guides, only three nuts and pull the chain guides off and your deck plates are right there. You can remove them, clean them, put back together and you are done.

your head should be under warranty, have you talked to your dealer? This is not a common proublem and your dealer could check it out.  Or you could email me youyr phone  number to warranty@geringhoff.com and we could discuss it.  we may have one of field tecks in your area that can look at it.
