In order to further strengthen our team we are looking for a

Territory Manager [Iowa / Missouri]

Geringhoff, LLC is seeking someone with a passion for agriculture to represent Geringhoff as the Territory Manager for Iowa and Missouri. Territory Manager will work closely with Geringhoff dealers within the assigned territory and will be entrusted to create an environment that promotes teamwork and cooperation where dealer and manufacturer can both prosper. The individual will also work closely with fellow Territory Managers and members of the Geringhoff team to develop programs, offers, and incentives to aid their dealers in achieving sales and growth objectives.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Understanding of agricultural equipment

  • Exceptional prospecting, listening, negotiating, and closing skills
  • High level of professionalism
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite – specifically Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Valid driver’s license with no infraction history

Primary Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Sales Manager to create, develop, and implement strategies for company growth within the assigned territory
  • Create and implement sales and marketing plans that will assure the company is:
    • Achieving its full sales potential
    • Fulfilling its obligations under the terms of its contracts
    • Nourishing relationships with our dealer network
    • Aggressively seeking new customers and markets
  • Establish quarterly sales and profit objectives, as well as plans for achieving those sales goals in a manner that maximizing the company’s return on investment
  • Cultivate relationships within the assigned territory to support, motivate, and challenge dealers in improving their performance and encouraging sales of Geringhoff products
  • Develop dealer training plans that will encourage performance, reward success, and ensure that all departments achieve their goals – goals may include but are not limited to:
    • Sales
    • Market share
    • Profit margin
    • Customer satisfaction
  • Maintain current dealer contacts within CRM program
  • Coordinate and participate in regional and national trade shows and dealer events
  • Traveling within assigned territory and to applicable trade shows and events


Territory Manager Responsibilities

  • Develop territory call routes to best utilize resources and stimulate dealer interaction while building and maintaining effective relationships with dealer group personnel
  • Communicate performance expectations to dealership – including but not limited to:
    • Company goals for market leadership
    • Superior customer loyalty
    • Return on investment for dealer initiatives
  • Regularly update National Sales Manager with territory reports and any information crucial to maintaining a positive dealer-manufacturer relationshipe
  • Maintain competitive knowledge to create and adjust sales strategies
  • Ensure that dealer sales department is familiar with available resources and assist dealer with utilization of appropriate sales programs, advertisements, and promotions
  • Understand and provide training to dealer personnel in the use of online resources for whole-goods and parts and service management
  • Assist with lead cultivation through timely communication of product information, pricing, and quoting
  • Initiate and participate in product demonstrations during harvest season
  • Assist dealers in coordination and promotion of in-field demonstrations
  • Maintain current field inventory by performing physical audits
  • Practice accountability for the physical presence and appearance of all company inventory and assets
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
