Integrated Air System (IAS)

Gentle Yet Powerful

At Geringhoff, we know that in order to minimize crop losses, extra care is needed when harvesting delicate and sensitive crops that are prone to seed shedding. That's why we developed the Integrated Air System (IAS) for our draper heads. The fully integrated system blows air through tubes fitted with outlets just behind the cutter bar. As the air travels from the cutter bar to the draper belt, it gently blows seeds that might otherwise fall off and instead of hitting the ground, the seeds are gently carried to the belt and sent into the threshing system.

IAS Features

Air Intake

Mounted on the back of the draper, the IAS fan features a new rotor screen to keep the air intake cleaner and provide more efficient air flow.

IAS Features

Air Flow

Air flows at a controlled pressure and uniform speed from behind the knives and carries the crop back to the belt for increased yield potential.

IAS Features

Superiority to Other Systems

The IAS is fully integrated into Geringhoff draper heads, precisely but gently blowing air from behind the cutter bar instead of using exterior tubes that are routed in front of the reel where they present a risk to the crops. Allowing it to capture more crop and help increase yields more than that of aftermarket add on options.

Fully Integrated System

Unobstructed Crop Flow

Unlike competitor solutions that use external tubes running in front of the reel where they are at risk of obstructing the crop flow, the unique design of Geringhoff’s IAS offers a fully integral air system with no risk of obstructing the crop flow. It offers an adjustable flow rate that is adapted to specific grain weights by varying the fan speed – a feature that eliminates any mechanical changeovers to adjust to different crops.

Comparison

With IAS

Controlled air flow gently blow grains to draper belt.

Comparison

Without IAS

Grains are lost and scatter away from the draper belt.
